Late Summer in Antiparos

Looking to end the summer swimming in clear blue waters, eating dinner al fresco at a local taverna and spending the mornings and evenings practicing yoga in the outdoor shala? I go every year at least once to an off the beaten track location in Greece and this year takes us to Antiparos, a small Aegean island a short 10 minute boat ride from Paros. In Antiparos Island, you can explore the picturesque old town, seaside caves, whitewashed churches, a nearby archaeological island the island castle. Water sports abound - enjoy snorkeling, windsurfing, kite surfing and scuba diving , or plain old swimming.. :)

We will stay at the recommended Kournos Village in light-filled junior suites with private bathrooms, just a stones throw from the beach. And September is considered one of the best months as it is fairly free of tourists but offers a nice 25 to 28 degree weather.

We will enjoy morning and evening yoga in a covered outdoor spot with incredible sea views. Breakfast at the award winning hotel restaurant will follow. The rest of the day you can laze on the beach, go for a hike or an adventure on the small island. The first class will be on Tuesday at 4:30pm and the last class will end by 9:30 am for those who take the 10:45 ferry.

Cost :Room 475e for 5 night for single / 375e for for shared junior suite including daily breakfast PLUS 370e (plus 19% VAT) workshop fee. Total price is 915.70 single and 815.70 for shared if you bring a friend .

Antiparos is a small island off the main island of Paros. Fly into Athens, Mykonos or Santorini and then take a ferry to the main island of Paros or take a short connecting flight into Paros. I recommend buying 2 separate flights if you choose to fly in as you will have the best prices and most options.. The Paros-Antiparos trip is a short trip which leaves every 30 minutes from 7 am to 11:30pm at the main port connecting to other Cycladic islands. Ask me if this is not clear and I can help. It’s not so complicated as it looks!
